About a year ago I added a facebook page to go with the Brighton Park blog.
And something wonderful happened.
YOU.
Last month we hit the 1,000 mark on facebook
If you haven't happened upon the facebook page yet, it is a lovely community of homemakers, homesteaders and homeschoolers.
It is a very positive place...frequented by Jane Austen fans, backyard chicken keepers, parents of special needs childen, Waldorf (and other syles) homeschoolers, urban homesteaders, hobby farmers and city dwellers alike...
On the facebook page you'll find: more DIY links and tutorials, more pictures, more homeschool resources, more fellowship and, M-F, the Daily SALT (Speech and Language Tip).
To celebrate this milestone, we are having a giveaway. A chance to win a gift box of nutscene twine from William-Sonomas new urban homesteading line called Agrarian. "Nutscene jute twine offers the perfect combination of softness and strength, which has made it the favorite of British kitchen gardeners since 1922. This boxed set includes four balls of colored twine for tying and supporting plants, along with a handy pair of garden snips".~~website description
Think of the possibilities...

And since blogs who say they pick winners at random, usually don't, we have switched to using only RAFFLECOPTER for our giveaways. If you have any trouble using the rafflecopter entry, you can email me at homeschoolfam.com (don't dislike it just because it's new ;-) **If you are not seeing the rafflecopter entry box at the end of the post, refresh your screen or click on the little gray "read more" box in the lower left at the end of this post (by the other posts recommendations) and that will bring it up for you!)
This contest will end on Sunday, May 6th, 2012,midnight, AZ time. WINNER MUST LIVE IN THE CONTINENTAL USA. The only mandatory entry is to leave a comment on this blog post telling me, are you a homeschooler, a homemaker, a homeschooler or a combination of the three. All other entry options are optional and for extra entries.
Good luck and thank you for making our facebook page one of the funnest out there! If the rafflecopter box is not showing up, then click on the gray "read more" link below and that should pull it up so you can enter :-)
